  1. The appointment booking system for appointments from 10 November 2025, is now available on www.hcicolombocpv.in. All individual applicants may book their appointments at least 4 days in advance of their travel date and bring a printed copy of appointment confirmation.

  2. Travel agents with IATA registration may also book the appointments on www.hcicolombocpv.in appointments available from 10 November 2025. Travel agents will be permitted to submit five (5) applications on behalf of their clients on daily basis after confirming their appointments. The representative of the travel agency/agent must bring an authority letter from the agency.

  3. Travel Agencies handling group pilgrimages may submit the letter from the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious Affairs and Cultural Affairs, Government of Sri Lanka with complete documentation for approval, at the High Commission. The group would be intimated a submission date and collection date in due course. Agents may plan in advance and are advised to ensure five working days after submission for collection to avoid hassles.

  4. It has been noticed that some fake/ fraudulent web URLS (list enclosed) are offering Indian e-Visa. Therefore, applicants are advised not to use these fake URLS for obtaining Indian e-Visa. You are requested to visit authorized Portal for Visa Application to India www.indianvisaonline.gov.in.

NOTICE

  In view of the conflict in the Gulf region and the resultant disruption of international travel and uncertainty in movement of foreigners who are unable to depart from India within their visa validity due to flight disruptions, the Government of India, as a goodwill and humanitarian gesture has decided the following:

  1. a) All type of Visas/e-visas expiring/ due for expiry soon would be extended   
    for a month on gratis basis, for the affected nationals by jurisdictional FRROS on case-to-case basis.
  2. b) Penalty for any overstay by affected foreign nationals after February 28, 2026 would be waived off.
  3. c) Exit Permits to the affected foreign nationals would be provided on gratis basis.
  4. d) Non-application of Exit Permit and Extension of Visas by affected foreign nationals would not be treated as violation.
  5. e) Temporary Landing Permit (TLP) would be granted to a foreign national arriving in India due to diversion of flights on gratis basis.
