6th Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in Mauritius on 27-28 Oct 2012

1. The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA), Government of India, in partnership with the Government of Mauritius is organizing the 6th Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention from October 27-28, 2012 at Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Mauritius.

2. PBD conventions provide the largest platform to persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) for exchange of views and networking on matters of common interest.

3. PBD Mauritius 2012 will focus on a particular theme that stresses the ever-increasing strands of connectivity between India and its diaspora. It will include meaningful discussions on various issues of relevance to the Indian diasporas like youth participation, education, tourism, investment, culture etc. Like every regional PBD, a business event comprising session aimed at enhancing business ties between the Indian diaspora and India would be an integral part of this convention also.

4. Delegates will have to register for the convention by paying a registration fee of US Dollars One Hundred (US $ 100/-).
