ISLF Lecture Series- Inaugural Lecture by Ambassador Shyam Saran

Ambassador Shyam Saran, former Foreign Secretary of India and Chairman, Research and Information system will be visiting Sri Lanka from 13-18 November, 2011 to deliver lectures under the auspices of the Public Lecture series of the India-Sri Lanka Foundation.

Ambassador Saran will deliver a lecture on “India's Neighbourhood Policy and India-Sri Lanka relations” at the University of Jaffna on 14 November, 2011 at 4.00 p.m., a lecture on “Challenge of Climate Change: Adding a new dimension to India-Sri Lanka Relation” at the University Ruhuna, Matara on 16 November, 2011 at 03.00 p.m. and a lecture on “India and Sri Lanka and the Asian Resurgence” at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies, BMICH on 17 November, 2011 at 6.00 p.m. All are welcome to listen to the talk by Ambassador Saran, which will be followed by an interactive session.

The India - Sri Lanka Foundation was established by a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of India and Sri Lanka in 1998 in order to foster India - Sri Lanka relations through the enhancement of economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation and to promote greater understanding between the people of the two countries.
