T.M. Krishna's Carnatic Musical Concert in Colombo

T.M. Krishna, eminent Carnatic vocalist, and known in the musical world as a classicist, will be performing in Colombo on 7th October 2011 at 05.30 p.m. at the Ramakrishna Mission Hall, Wellawatte, Colombo 06. All are cordially invited.

T.M. Krishna and his troupe's performance in Northern Sri Lanka at three concerts, organized by the Consulate General of India, Jaffna and the Department of Culture, Northern Province of Sri Lanka, at Jaffna, Kilinochchi and vavuniya were highly successful.

The accompanying artistes of Mr. T.M. Krishna include Ms. Akkarai S. Subbulakshmi (Violin), Mr. Kallidaikurichi S. Sivakumar (Mridangam), Mr. Giridhar Udupa (Ghatam/clay pot) and Mr. Alathur T. Rajganesh (Ganjira/tambourine).

T.M. Krishna had performed in Colombo in the year 2010 at the 11th Neelan Tiruchelvam Commemorative Festival and it was because of the overwhelming response received to his performance and numerous requests received to organize his performances, especially in the Northern Province, that the present tour of T.M. Krishna and his troupe has been organized by the Indian Cultural Centre, Colombo in association with the Department of Hindu Religious and Cultural Affairs, Sri Lanka, Department of Culture, Northern Province of Sri Lanka and Consulate General Of India, Jaffna with the support of Virakesari Newspaper
