Curtain Raiser for the First International Day of Yoga in Sri Lanka: June 21, 2015

Three Yoga Flashes took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in the run up to the International Yoga Day. These Yoga Flashes were held at the iconic Independence Square on June 14, 2015,  at the Town Hall and in front of the Buddha Statue at the famous Viharamahadevi Park   on June 16, 2015.

The curtain raiser for the International Yoga Day celebrations was held at the Indian Cultural Centre in Colombo with the screening of the film “History of Yoga-The Path of My Ancestors” on June 17, 2015.  The film showcased the 6000 year long history of the origin and evolution of Yoga

The film screening was followed by a talk by Dr. Gowribalan of ISHA Foundation.
