India Connect fellowship by Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre for young Overseas Indian entrepreneurs and professionals

1. The Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC), a PPP between the Government of India and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has announced its ‘India Connect’ initiatives for a proactive and sustained engagement with Overseas Indians.

2. The OIFC India Fellows Programme is in partnership with the Indian School of Business (ISB). The programme made for the Indian Diaspora offers an opportunity  to gain an understanding of aspects critical to market entry into India; practical  insights about doing business in India, understanding the legal and regulatory  environment,  engagement and networking opportunities  with Indian  businessmen  and  an  insight  into innovative and disruptive business models emerging in India. The year-long programme includes a 12 days residential session in India.

3. India Fellows Programme is open to young Overseas Indian entrepreneurs, professionals in decision making capacity, consultants and international partners of Indian companies, in the age group of 21-39 years offered at a special introductory fee of USD 5,000. The programme will be rolled out as follows:

Applications Round 1 : May 31, 2016
Applications Round 2 : June 30, 2016
Webinar 1 : June 2016
India Residency : 28 August to 08 September, 2016

4. Completed application forms should reach the Counsellor (Consular), High Commission of India, P.O. Box 882, No. 36-38, Galle Road, Colombo-03 by 20.05.2016 for Round 1 and by 15.06.2016 for round 2.
